Update Design Results dialog

Used to update changes made to Structural elements that have been imported after an external application completes a structural analysis. When you update imported data from an external analysis program, you may be “round-tripping” data that you sent for analysis.

When you import a file with changes made by an analysis program, you can select the members to update your model or you can import all members in the imported file.

SettingDescription
Members Lists all the structural members in the analyzed model with details about data changes. All columns can be sorted and resized.
  • Family — Lists the family of parts associated with the member on that row.
  • Part — Lists the part associated with the member on that row.
  • Current Section — Lists the section name associated with the member on that row before the analysis.
  • New Section — Lists the new section name associated with the member on that row after the analysis is complete.
  • Changes — Lists a short description of the changes made during the analysis for the member on that row.

Types of changes that are tracked are:

    • Rotation Changed
    • End Action Changed
    • Section Changed
    • No Change
    • New Member
    • Deleted
    • End Points Changed
  • File — Lists the file name associated with the member on that row during the analysis.
  • ID — Lists the unique ID number associated with the member on that row.
Cantilevers Lists all the structural cantilevers in the analyzed model with details about data changes. All columns can be sorted and resized. The available columns are the same as for member data.

Solids Lists all the structural solids (plates, slabs, foundations) in the analyzed model with details about data changes. All columns can be sorted and resized. The available columns are the same as for member data except there is no sections data to manipulate.

Walls

Lists all the structural walls (linear forms converted into structural elements) in the analyzed model with details about data changes. All columns can be sorted and resized. The available columns are the same as for member data except there is no sections data to manipulate.
